So, this topic is all over the media today so I wanted to share this video to hopefully educate some of you on the use of the technique which is being scrutinized in this unfortunate tragedy...the vascular neck restraint. Let me be clear that I am not taking sides as to whether the use of force was right or wrong, or whether the officer in question should or should not have been charged by the grand jury. Rather , it is more of a case study as to whether or not vascular neck restraints should be in the toolbox of police officers, or if they are too deadly to be used on the public. Hopefully this video will give everyone more information from which they can formulate an educated opinion on the technique and tactics used during arrests.
