Did anyone ever hear such a silly sinerio? Well here it goes the best I can tell it, sit back and be prepared to be entertained.I got out of work today after 3:00 on my way home I made it to the. Top of my dirt road only to find a propane gas truck sideways on our road. Seeing this I immediately stopped as it didnt look as though I would be able to get around it on either side. I yelled down to the driver who was probably cleaning the poop out of her britches(I know I would probably have to) so I put my Blazer in 4 wheel and backed back up onto Cherry Hill Road. She came walking up to my car and proceeded to tell me what happened. Paul Miller came up on the scene and got on the phone to Newton Twp to let them know the road was a sheet of ice. Seeing Paul was on the scene I told the girl she was in good hands with Paul to wait with her for help to come. So after the bus dropped my son off I went around Willow road and came home that way. When we got home I called my sister to warn her not to come down the hill with the Snap On Truck so then I started to make supper; the phone rings the caller ID says Abington Heights I immediately thought oh know now what did Nick do. It was the secretary of the transportation office calling to tell me that the bus might not be able to come down the hill to get my son in the mornin because the road is too icy that we are either going to have him to the top of the road or take him to school cuz the bus cant risk getting stuck. My reply to her was(calmly ) mammm how am I gonna get out of my road to take him to school if the bus cant get down here her reply was well you know thats a good question. My reply was you have my phone number you have my permission to give it to the driver and if he thinks its too icy he can call me...Im sorry my Mom used to drive school bus and we got nasty weather back then and she never tried to alter her route in anyway to make it any easier for her to do her job as a matter of fact there were people that made it harder for her to do her job. If the bus doesnt make it down I think my son should have an excuse not to be there cuz if they dont come for him Im not taking him. Will someone tell me if I am over reacting?
