Did you know that in the past three years 130 neighborhood watch groups were established or re-started in Redding? Jenny Espino reported in todays edition that one of the highlights of last week’s crime solutions town hall meeting was Jason Schroeder’s closing comments stirring residents to put up a neighborhood watch in their block. The block captain for the Stand Up Redding neighborhood watch on Redding’s west side, Schroeder told the audience there’s no need for heroes, only people who want to cooperate and take guardianship of the city and their neighbors.
