Discrimination is a dirty word! All discrimination should be - TopicsExpress

Discrimination is a dirty word! All discrimination should be fought against without question right? Or should it? Is all discrimination wrong? Are we overusing the term discrimination?; without considering other terms that might apply, such as discretion or discernment? I despise liberals and treat them more harshly than good common sense conservative folk. Am I discriminating against liberals or using proper discretion or discernment in my judgement that they are what is taking our country to hell in a hand basket? That is certainly debatable; of course their discretion or discernment tells them the same thing about me. Do we discriminate against rapists, pedophiles, thieves, and murderers when we deem their behavior as unacceptable and imprison them, or is that deemed as proper discretion or discernment? If all discrimination is wrong, who are we to judge their behavior? So when I call for the shunning of the cult of Islam, am I discriminating or using discretion or discernment when I say a group that allows pedophilia as an accepted norm, abuses the hell out of women in their society, and leaves so much rape, murder, and pillage in its wake, should not be tolerated? Lets see how Websters defines these different terms: Discrimination - 1 the act of distinguishing differences. 2 the ability to make or perceive distinctions; perception; discernment. 3a) partiality, or bias, in the treatment of a person or group, which is unfair, illegal, etc. 3b) an act, policy, pattern of behavior, etc. characterized by such partiality. Discretion - 1 the freedom or authority to make decisions and choices; power to judge or act. 2 the quality of being discreet, or careful about what one does and says; prudence. 3 the action or power of discerning ; judgement. Discerning - having or showing good judgement or understanding; astute. So my question is: Do we sling the term discrimination around a little too much, while ignoring these other terms? Their seems to be a leftist fad going around, as I have discerned, that demands you stand up and fight any and all discrimination without question. Do any leftists have any eating at their conscience about defending the evil cult of Islam? Im not talking about the people; their not all bad; Im talking about the doctrine of the religion. Leave the people who follow it out of the picture and defend the cult doctrine from discrimination.
