Consider this: 2 Democratic nominated Justices are 75 or older - Ginsburg is 81 and Breyer is 75. 2 Republican nominated Justices are 75 or older - Scalia is 78 and Kennedy is 77. The next President will serve until 2020 or 2024. How many of these 4 justices will still be serving 10 years from today? The Senate approves the nominations, so in Nov 2014, the Dems need to maintain control of the Senate. The president selects the nominees, so in Nov 2016, the Dems need to maintain control of the White House. Get informed. Get registered. Vote. Get others around you to vote. If Democrats turn out, we win and with wins we can begin to change this. The 5 who voted with Hobby Lobby were nominated by Republican presidents. The 4 who dissented were nominated by Democratic presidents. It matters.
