Do you ever see faces in wood grains of paneling and puzzle over the seemingly causal patterns you perceive? Or in clouds, rocks, potato chips or other seemingly random constructs our fractal universe has produced? Youll be relieved to know many others see such things as well. I see them and dismiss them as an interesting symptom of intelligence; after all, one of our greatest mental tools is our ability to perceive abstract patterns and form connections. But thee is another school of thought that spirits manifest themselves to us from their pale realm by using their whispery influence in the material realm to catch our eye; they thirst and yearn to be noticed by the souls of the living.
