Do you remember this video? Well little gypsy has been in the UK now for about two months. She is only 5 months old. Mary had her sent over and she is now in her care. Unfortunately she is suffering with Rickets and although she has made remarkable improvement she still needs medical intervention. A video was sent to Ian Mcqueen to save travelling costs etc and his diagnosis was that she needs a double carpal fusion and the cost for each leg is £2000. Mary has since seen another vet who feels that the surgery is a massive step as it entails metal rods through the carpal and leg joint and she will never lead a normal life and it will always be gentle exercise only. She also said the rods may need replacing as she gets older. She suggested that diet and splints could improve the situation masses. So we have decided to take Gypsy to Noel Fitzpatrick for a consultation and then decide on the best course of action. We are waiting for the referral appointment. We need to fund raise for this consultation which will be £180.00 plus the treatment which Noel recommends.
