Defining National Security is what this piece does not bother to define and therein lies the fallacy. Several suppositions are assumed true here, profiteering defense contractors work on behalf of national interests, protecting US corporate interests abroad is paramount to national interests, and more suppositions hoist this argument. Examine weightier matters of national security on the domestic scene, namely social and economic injustice to be blunt, if National Security rests in your heart. Education, morally and fiscally dysfunctional tax code, beleaguered healthcare law that left insurance companies intact (woww), and many more ills sprouting from money in politics writing and rewriting laws that place profits ABOVE anybodys environmental, social and economic long-term interests - DOMESTIC policies are one huge national security threat, people. Wake up and smell the coffee ... . China, Russia, ... never will deal a blow to the US as deadly as the one self inflicted!
