Dont want to offend anybody, but my definition of family does not necessarily have to be blood. Although many think blood is thicker than water, its the friends and family that are there for you through thick and thin, the ones that never show their back to you, and if and when it is shown, it is only to give you that boost you need when something is out of reach....lol. Its who is there through the worst of times and there to share your most precious life moments. Its who will love you for being you and who knows the person you truly are inside and out and will always be true to you even when you are not around. Sadly, I have many friends who I consider family over who really is family. In the words of the great POP: Family Business.....My Family Business is My family business....only the people that live behind their closed doors know what happens behind those closed doors. It honestly doesnt matter to me but just want to get something straight to others that it might matter to: My life is not perfect, actually far from it. I am not perfect, nor is anybody in my immediate family but we do love eachother perfectly. We raise our kids the way we think we need to raise them, which is keeping them as far away from failure as possible and not to make the same mistakes we made, but of course, there is only so much we, as parents can do. Our backs are never turned to them but we do believe in tough love and what do you know.....its worked. I would say our kiddos love us as we love them sooo unconditionally. If you dont believe me....go ahead and ask any of them directly.....because trust me, nobody else is gonna know more about us than.....US.
