Don’t let a burglary ruin your summer That is the message from Police investigating a series of break-ins in Clifton. An unlocked door, an open window or a dodgy alarm can make your possessions easy pickings for thieves. We asking residents to take extra measures to ensure your property is as secure as possible following a number of burglaries in the last month. The majority of these incidents have seen opportunistic thieves able to gain access through unlocked doors or windows. The latest incident occurred in Walcott Green when a bag was stolen at about 11.45pm on Wednesday 23 July 2014 after a door was left unlocked. Incidents have taken place at all times of day As well as offering crime prevention advice, neighbourhood beat teams will patrol areas looking for houses and vehicles that could become a target.
