Dr. John; I could write volumes of scriptures from both the Old and New Testaments to verify the Absolute Unwavering Truth about the four Holy Marks of the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Churchs position on having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, like her teaching from Jesus Himself, that there is NO SALVATION OUTSIDE THE CATHOLIC CHURCH, however, I will mention the zenith Holy Thursday/Good Friday/Easter experience that captures this personal eternal salvation guarantee from the mouth Of Jesus Himself in John 6. In the Incarnation, Jesus, being both God and Man, except for sin, comes to us in his body and blood, soul and divinity to the whole world; Christmas, and through the Nuptial of the Eucharist Jesus comes in his Real Presences, body and blood, soul and divinity through both WORD, and SACRAMENT through his Church! Jesus Himself says 4 times that this eating and drinking is Eternal Life, and if you do not then you walk away, and have no eternal life! The Greek is very clear on this leaving no doubt! The Catholic Church firmly states this is having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ! Dr. John would further add, any personal relationship outside of the Real Presences, in the Nuptial of the Eucharist, is pure Gnosticism bathed in Humanistic Materialistic Idolatry! Anyone, especially Catholics, who deny the Real Presences, are forming God in their own image and likeness ,and will raise up their own preachers personalities to serve them their scriptural idolatrous God fabricated in their SELF! I would further add if, you eliminate the Roman 12 living suffering cross from your walk in the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE within the Church that you do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Now I will admit that I have been in a lot of Protestant prayer groups, and they do have a relationship with the phrase, MY Bible Words Say, MY personal relationship, MY interpretation, MY opinion, MY Jesus, MY good works, MY church, MY choice, and My and My and so on and on, but they do not realize that Jesus is a living person in the Eucharistic Experience of which their crafted Red Letters (actual words of Jesus) says! What I do find most interesting is how much anti Catholic hatred is in these groups, especially from fallen away Catholics who all of sudden become expert on the Catholic faith of which they had departed! What is so sad to me is what they teach is not what the Catholic Church never has taught, and generally they will blame some misinformed nun in their Catholic school for their erroneous belief! Peter asked Jesus, Where do you live? and Jesus replied, Come and see? and we all know that this was the Kerygma at the Mass with the Koinonia!
