Dumb, dumb, DUMB. Like Im some kind of 18 year old, straight out of high school, running around with a snotty nose & some kind of communicable disease.... Filling out a health assessment form for school, and it says Check if you have lived in/traveled to any of the following areas of the world for a duration of 3 MONTHS OR MORE in the last 5 years. First location: AFRICA. Dammit. So, I check Yes (because I have), but the next section states that I have to go through the TB Test again with results WITHIN the last 2 months of right NOW. This seems a bit silly, as Ive been drugged, injected, Lysold down, TB TESTED, etc, before, during & prior to returning to general populace, for both Africa-Land deployments. So, I thought to call the Health Office on campus to explain that SURELY this does NOT apply to me: Lane: Yeah, I was there, and I was TB tested & all that jazz when I returned each time. Ive actually been back in country from this last deployment for over a year, now. Im a-ok. Nurse: Yeah.... well, its University policy that upon receipt of the form, you must be tested again within the last two months, for any visits within the last 5 years. Lane: Well, thanks. That answer definitely tells me where to go from here. Have a nice day, maam! Ill PASS on that. Bottom line? It asks if Ive traveled anywhere & I have no qualms with checking NO. If they ask questions, Ill just tellem, I aint never been no where, boss. My whole military career was on shore duty. What a ride, though!!
