During pillow talk this morning, Bobby and I counted many of our blessings of life...We named them one by one actually...We discussed the graciousness of so many that has been bestowed to us...We discussed our being.... not a Why Me Lord conversation...But a Why NOT Me conversation...So many close calls in our lives, God has a purpose for all our lives, I have failed so many times...If we looked in the mirror, could see our soul, instead of our physical body, would we be proud?...Many great moments came my way today, none any greater than my son, Chad Burford and my 10yo grandson Blayne, stopping by our house to see his Ol Mama and Chads Ol 14yo dog 21...The last dog standing in the liter of Loutre I & Diamond...As Chad sat on the floor with her, Bobby moved to the room to watch the reunion...He wept...I asked Bobby on the way to the Lake Diner, why the tears?....He shared not only was Chads dog 14 years older, but Chad, so are we....He said you realize how fast time goes, with Chads 10yo son, 4 yrs younger than Chads childhood dog, looking over his shoulder....The dash in our years, is very short!
