During the 5-hr ceasefire this morning, the Western Union office looked like Mecca during hajj, queues for all ATM machines and banks were at least 10 meters long, supermarkets literally overflowing with people stocking up on goods.. Despite the frenzy to finish running errands before the cease-fire ends, strangers on the street and everywhere were saying to each other, hamdellah 3a salametkom, thank God youre safe, neighbors were checking on each others safety and seeing who needs any type of help (monetary or otherwise).. Running into someone you know is like seeing your long lost brother! Ppl are hugging each other and just so happy to see each other well and fine.. Seriously, nothing can ever shake the spirit of these beautiful people, and especially not #IsraeliTerrorism. With every war, massacre, injustice that happens, we come out with even more passion and love for our country and for our people. God bless #Palestine and its people.
