EABCT 2013 Annual Congress. 25th – 28th September 2013 The European Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies (EABCT) has the pleasure of hosting the 43rd Annual Congress in Marrakech, Morocco 25th – 28th September 2013. In addition to providing a scientific and social programme that will showcase the development of CBT across Europe and beyond, the conference will also give a unique opportunity for EABCT members to discover and enjoy the culture and diversity of one of its neighbours in North Africa. This links into one of the major themes of the congress which is to develop our understanding and knowledge of “CBT and Culture” SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME The congress will run for 3 days from Thursday 26th September – Saturday 28th September 2013 with 12 full day workshops being held on Wednesday 25th September. The main scientific programme will be in English, but there will also be a French language stream. The programme will have distinct themes that will represent the “state of the art” and all that is excellent in contemporary theory, research and practice in CBT. This will include: Multiple themes that are internationally relevant and covering both the theory and practice of contemporary CBT. Invited addresses from internationally recognised experts in CBT A wide range of parallel sessions including symposia, panel debates and clinical presentations A programme of half day in-congress workshops. Open Paper and Poster sessions Book and Equipment Exhibition and displays Special Interest Group (SIG) professional and scientific sessions The Scientific Programme is being assembled, according to the Congress themes, by the scientific committee. The Invited Addresses and full day Invited Pre-Congress Workshops have now been agreed. These can be found on the following pages, along with details of the invited presenters for the French language stream, which forms approximately 15% of the overall programme. These presenters, who are leaders in their field, give you a good indication of the range and quality of what is to come in the final programme.
