EARLY TSUBURAYA: The Old Man had been dabbling with visual effects - TopicsExpress

EARLY TSUBURAYA: The Old Man had been dabbling with visual effects in the early as the 1930s, after seeing KING KONG and THE INVISIBLE MAN, and as a model building, miniatures were par for course. In 1940, he helmed this short marionette film based on the Hindu epic, RAMAYANA, adapted by prolific writer Kohan Kawauchi (who would later go on to create Moonlight Mask and Rainbowman). The entire film was uploaded to YouTube, thanks to John Paul Cassidy for providing the link! Eiji Tsuburaya: Master of Monsters (Chronicle Books) Order: amazon/dp/1452135398
