EKITI SOUTH AS THE KEY TO RECLAIMING THE LOST THRONE OF POWER:THE DILLEMA OF EKITI PDP. There has been several genuine submissions eloquently expressed by genuine lovers of patriotic optimism within the Ekiti PDP with respect to shifting the cardinal of political power/seat of governorship in Ekiti to the South Senatorial District. Critical Stake-holders,former Governors, former members of state and national assembly(s), civil servants, men of security agencies, religious leaders, traditional leaders, operators of commercial vehicles/motorcycles/tricycles, artisans, market women, etc are all resolute to support the PDP for 2014 governorship election only if its gubernatorial candidate is from the South Senatorial District, with requisite qualities such as being credible and creditably tested. However, this to me in furtherance, seemed derisive and impregnated with real claims and admittance for/to equal representation and power-sharing among the three districts, yet, the fundamental of any fruitful sustenance of such clarion call can only become a reality when it is embraced by all and sundry, atleast, by the major decision-makers of the party. Perhaps, we need to dust our history materials to realize that it is now 14 years of democratic existence in Ekiti, where Governors from the Central and North Senatorial districts had successfully ruled. If the independence of Ekiti was a product of collective struggle, why should the dividends be unequally distributed? What is obtainable in the Central and North that is not in the South? What are the offences committed by the South denying her of her legitimate right if there were any? Suffix at this junction that this claim of the South, to any rational thinking person, is absolutely genuine, popular and well-deserving, though with an expected contextual benefits like the others had enjoyed too. I pray we allow the success of this dynamic agitation through our collective civil struggles, united voice and resolution as a people of same party. The indices to measure social equation among the concerned variable (senatorial districts) and possible chances of victory at the general election to reclaim THE LOST CROWN, in this quest, is only if an Ekiti South aspirant is made the partys gubernatorial flag-bearer. By this, we tends to enjoy the sympathy of all and by example, show to others (other parties in Ekiti) that the PDP has internal cohesion which is apparently lacking in others modus-operandi and that the PDP also has a unique mechanism of resolving its problems. Until the final decision on the above is made, WE SHALL REMAIN CALM BUT RESOLUTE IN OUR UNWAVERED SUPPORT FOR THE PEOPLES CHOICE SURVEYOR ABIODUN ALUKO. Only a tested and credible personality; an efficient and administratively refined mobilizer; a politically sound mind; a grass-root oriented and youth/aged-friendly leader like Abiodun Aluko can get us what was stolen from us. This is the verdict of God and resolution of men. Let us unite in our solidarity and wrestle this Pharaoh for our liberation and total freedom. Our destiny is in our hands! Thank you.
