Romans 11:29 (KJV) WHY THE GIFTS AND CALLINGS OF GOD DO NOT CHANGE (Contd. 4) 3. God knows our weak frame. “For He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust.” (Psalm 103:14 KJV). Knowing how weak we are and can be, makes God more tolerant of our deviations from His Will. But this does not mean that His Will for you has changed! To help us understand this mindset of God is to consider another scripture: “Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry ...” Proverbs 6:30. Anyone would feel compassion for the thief and will even understand why he did that. However, this does not change the act or the fact that he stole! We can understand, but we do not agree. He should have asked and he would have been given some food, rather than steal. In the same way, even though God can understand why we may not yield to His will of working for Him, He does not agree or approve of it. This is why Proverbs 6:31 says, “But if he (the thief) be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.” When we fail to flow with the will of God, we suffer from it. We pay for it. We all pay for it in one way or another here on this earth. But the full payment comes on Judgement Day when we see the consequences of our disobedience to God’s will for our lives.
