ET CETERA TO PONDER :As per Religious researcher S.Michael Houdman findings ;(part 1) THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH claims to be the church Jesus Christ died for,established & built by the Apostles. ON THE CONTRARY,in the New Testament,the Catholic church do not have its origin in the teachings of Jesus Christ or his Apostles ; NO MENTION of the 1) Papacy,..2) Worship/adoration of Mary or Immaculate Concepcion,..3) Petitioning Saints in heaven for their prayers,..4)Apostolic succession,..5) The ordinances of the church functioning as sacraments,..6) Infant Baptism,..7) Confession of sins to a priest,..8) Purgatory,..9) Indulgence,or the equal authority of Church tradition and Scriptures. THE 1ST 280 yrs. of Christian history,Christianity was banned by the Roman empire,& Christians were terribly persecuted. THIS CHANGED after the conversion of Roman emperor Constantine,He provided Religious tolerance with the Edict of Milan in AD 113,lifting the ban on Christianity; later in AD 325 Constantine called the Council of Nicea in an attempt to unify Christianity. ENVISIONING that Christianity could unite the Roman Empire,but refuse to embrace fully the Christian faith,& continued many of his (Constantine) Pagan beliefs & practices. SO THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH that Constantine promoted was a Mixture of True Christianity & Roman Paganism...continued tomorrow,(part 2) 2 TIMOTHY 4:3-4,declares ,For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine,instead,to suit their own desires,they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say,what their itching ears want to hear.They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myth.
