EU Delegation presents an interactive lecture “Life of Europeans, life of Ukrainians” in Chernivtsi On December 11-12, 2014 members of the EU Delegation to Ukraine will conduct an official visit to Chernivtsi. During the visit, EU diplomats will meet with the representatives of Chernivtsi City Council, Chernivtsi Regional State Administration, as well as representatives of local NGOs, journalists and activists of Euroclubs and Chernivtsi Centre of European information. Furthermore, the EU Delegation will hold an interactive lecture “Life of Europeans, life of Ukrainians”. Om December 12, at 10 am an interactive lecture “Life of Europeans, life of Ukrainians” will take place in the conference-hall of the “Bukovyna” hotel (141 Holovna Str.). The event will be held in “theory-practice” format, when participants at first listen to the lecture on key European values and standards of living in Europe, and then work in groups to develop and offer their own ideas how to realize these values in Ukraine. The Delegation of European Union to Ukraine invites civil society activists, journalists, students, participants of Euroclubs and all local citizens interested in Ukraines future in Europe. In addition, participants of “EU Study Days” project (eustudydays/2014/11/04/10session2/)will join the event. EU Study Days, an educational project for Ukrainian university students and graduates, will take place in Chernivtsi on 10-14 December 2014. It is a project of the EU Delegation to Ukraine run by the Centre for Ukrainian Reform Education (CURE). The participants will be able to: • communicate with the representatives of the EU Delegation to Ukraine; • learn more about the life of Europeans; • understand what exactly Ukrainians should change to reach the average EU standards of living; • propose the ideas for development of various spheres of life in Ukraine; • find like-minded people to support the idea of Ukrainian euro integration and the necessary of reforms. Events in Chernivtsi are a part of “Building Europe in Ukraine” information campaign. Infocampaign embraces a series of informative and educating events (public events, street initiatives, seminars, trainings, round-tables) that will be conducted during the year by the EU Delegation to Ukraine. The campaign is aimed at explaining the importance of implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement as well as spreading European values and raising citizens’ awareness on the EU-Ukraine relations.
