EUROPEAN VETERANS CHAMPIONSHIPS - IZMIR TURKEY (Day 10 AM Update) The final morning of the Championships saw the 4x100m Relays take place. Sharyn Ramage (Edinburgh AC), running the long second leg, helped her team to the Silver Medal in the W50 with a time of 58.95 behind a well drilled German quartet. Susan Young (Dundee Hawkhill Harriers), competing in her fifth event of the Championships, ran in the W35 team which included athletes from older age groups moving down to make up a team. This handicapped Susan somewhat with the team finishing in 6th place with a time of 57.35. This afternoon sees the 4x400m Relays to end the championships where both Sharyn and Susan will be joined by Bob Douglas (Harmeny AC) (Report by Alan Ramage)
