EVS vacancy Slovenia 12 months Project title: Keep up the good work Location: Litija, Slovenia Application deadline: 25/01/2015 Start date : 01/10/2015 End date: 30/09/2016 Tasks for volunteers: We will host 2 volunteers, one will be in charge of new media, promotion, poster designing, photography, video,… The other will be in charge of various workshops in the day center of Litija Youth center, for example: sports workshops, workshops on the theme of intercultural dialogue, arts and crafts, employment workshops (with help from the coordinator)… Both volunteers will be actively running an employment office from the youthcenter for young unemployed youth from Litija. Tasks of the volunteers: •The two volunteers will make their own personal project (our wish is to establish a long term employment office) •Volunteers will actively cooperate with employees and other volunteers of the Litija youth center. Together they will plan and execute promotional activities •They will be actively included in the designing of the programme •They will present the country of their origin and also promote the EVS service. Individual tasks (new media volunteer): •Volunteer will actively cooperate with employees and other volunteers of the Litija youth center. Together they will plan and execute all the promotional activities, especially informing the youth through two websites, a web newspaper, designing of posters and fliers,… •Volunteer will help with the design of promotional material and also publish it through new media, •Volunteer will collaborate in the making of a documentary film about the youth center,… Individual tasks (workshops volunteer): •Volunteer will collaborate in the making of a documentary film about the youth center, •Volunteer will help with planning and implementing of various workshops, •Event video and photography, •Help with informing and counseling with daily visitors of the day center,… We also wish to establish a mini employment office. Young people in Litija are facing a great unemployment rate. Both volunteers will (through their personal project) run this office. One volunteer will work closely with the youth, talk to them about their future dream jobs, help them apply to open job positions,… The other volunteer will take care of promotion, videos, photos,… Of course all with the help of employees of the youthcenter and other volunteers. Application process: we will select 2 volunteers, at the latest on the 25th of January, send your CV’s and motivation letters to [email protected] The volunteer pays: - some part of the international transport, depending on the country The receiving organization covers: - living costs ( rent + expenses, food) - local transportation - communication costs - most of the international transport costs - allowance (amount depending on the country) - health insurance - visa costs if needed
