EXTRA SPECIAL HOME NEEDED. This lovely lady is Roxy, sadly this poor wee soul has been diagnosed with a condition known as GPRA which means that she is going to be completely blind within probably the next 18mths, we have every faith that Roxy will adapt to this very well in the right environment so would like to see her settled in a new home asap to give her plenty of time to adapt as her sight fails. Roxy is currently in a foster home with other dogs and loves their company we feel that she would be best being homed with another dog whom she can bond with and they will help her once her sight has gone, although she is good with kids we feel its best not to place her with kids in case she gets startled by them once her sight has gone, we will give preference to those who have experience of blind dogs and know what to do to make the transition as easy as possible for her. The only problem Roxy experiences at the moment with this condition is that the bright daylight can cause her some discomfort to her retinas, for this reason we are currently introducing her to wearing doggles (dog sunglasses), obviously as her sight goes this will as well, Roxy is approx. 3yrs old, vaccinated, microchipped and speyed
