Earlier today, I attended the beautiful and moving funeral for TJ Lobraico, who was killed last week while on patrol at Bagram AFB in Afghanistan. He was a true hero, sacrificing himself so others in his unit would remain unharmed. As his procession wove its way through the streets, I witnessed something truly staggering. While passing through New Fairfield and Sherman, thousands of people stood silently on the side of the road and at every intersection waved flags and saluted as we drove past. It was overwhelming its in show of strength, solidarity and love for a soldier who has given the greatest sacrifice to his country. Rest in peace TJ. You will be missed.
