Early morning muse, my kitchen is now a pharmacy/med room, my war - TopicsExpress

Early morning muse, my kitchen is now a pharmacy/med room, my war paint, medicine. I wear it with LOVE and proudly! Daily charts are made to complete the, as Dr. Shannon calls it, controlled chaos. We were greeted at 4am, in the dark as we walked to the barn by the haunting serenade of a lone coyote in the back 4. Its lovely but a little disarming in the pitch dark. Slight detour to find the dogs, my ever present guardians, even at 4am, they were at our side wondering what we were doing up?! Jewell was on her feet, eyes adjusting to the lights popping on in the wee hours of the morning curious to see us. Her temp is still at 104, but she seemed a little brighter, wishful thinking perhaps, but I think she was, at least I tell myself this, it makes me feel better! She finally drank a little water and had munched some hay.......... So that is somewhat good news. Thank you all for the prayers and pulling for this delicate, deserving mare. Thank you Keith Aller for your help and willingness to walk this path with crazy me. I know this is NOT what you thought your retirement would look like! Kathy Barnes thank you for the supplies yesterday, the apples-which she really seems to appreciate and your willingness to get in it with us. Your help is so very much appreciated! Wendy, thanks for the assist yesterday too while we transitioned the medical protocol. Carin, thanks for your support and care for our tribe, they always take a back seat to the rescues and especially when we have sick rescues to tend too, it is comforting to know someone is looking out for my horses in the middle of this all and finally thanks to Cindy Lee, The Wags and Menace Makes a Difference Foundation for your LIFE SAVING financial support. None of what I am so gratefully doing would be possible without you! TGIF! Have a blessed day all.
