Earth School will be a physical campus on a rural property in South Western Australia. Students will live and learn about themselves and their life purpose. The Earth School curriculum will be founded on three pillars: self-discovery, building community and service to the earth. Indigenous, earth-based ways and knowledge will overlay these three pillars. Through the course of the curriculum, students will identify their unique gifts and talents and learn to share these in an economically, socially and environmentally viable way. The curriculum will have an equal focus on the academic and practical. Academic learning will provide students with the insight and current cultural context that will enable them to break through the cycle of Business As Usual and into a new paradigm as part of The Great Turning where the human race becomes a benevolent or constructive force on this planet. Students will participate in and come to lead activities within a range of sustainable industries – all the basic lifeskills we need to live a healthy, happy and productive life in harmony with the planet – from building sustainable housing, to growing organic food and natural medicines, making clothing, keeping bees, to creating and music. Through their participation in these industries, students will be prepared to share their unique gifts and make a living out of it – to apply their unique talents in an economically, socially and environmentally viable way.
