East Boston Fire Affects EBCCS Families - As you are aware, there was a horrendous fire recently, which engulfed three homes on Lexington Street in East Boston. We are saddened by all the families who lost their homes, but in particular those folks who are affiliated with our school. Last night several of our teachers immediately responded by going to Sacred Heart Church Hall to join Father Wayne in helping our families. These acts of kindness demonstrate the spirit that is EBCCS. Since we consider ourselves a community of friends and family, our school will start a Fire Fund for these families. We appeal to our parents, staff, and students to consider making a contribution to this fund. Luckily no one was injured in this fire, however, the lost of possessions and personal items is extremely traumatic. Hopefully, our efforts can help ease their pain. If you wish to contribute, please enclose your donation in a sealed envelope marked “Fire Fund.” If you will be using a check, make it out to EBCCS and write “Fire Fund” in the memo section. After the money is collected, we will present each family with a collective donation. I am sure this will mean a great deal to them.
