Ebola: Finally, a critical mass of Americans are paying attention to the Ebola crisis. Sadly, weve gone from 0 mph to 100 mph in one second (read one Ebola diagnosis in America). I post articles about Ebola so that people can read, get informed, ask questions and be vigilant. The best thing about the Ebola Dallas situation is that mistakes were made and gaps in strategy were discovered. So, we analyze! We learn! We change for the better! Many people have died from Ebola in Africa. But, many people have survived in the mists of abject poverty by the fire of the human spirit and by the Grace of God (and some Tylenol). Last week, as news and misinformation about Ebola in Dallas spread, emotions in America ran high. Think about how frustrated, scared, angry and straight freaked you felt when you heard someone in America was diagnosed with Ebola. Now, multiply the intensity of your emotions by 1 million. In so doing, you may get a glimpse of how the people of Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia must feel every second of every day, as bodies pile up in the streets and no hospital beds are available. Lets take a moment to reflect on the many people in West Africa who are drowning in despair, as they fear the world has abandoned them. Breathe! Read! Be vigilant! Peace out FB
