Egypt surge, as Eagles freeze, in FIFA rankings The Super Eagles of Nigeria remained in the 46th position they occupied last month, as the new FIFA rankings were released on Thursday. The Top Five teams: Spain, Germany, Argentina, Portugal and Colombia, also retained their positions, but Holland dropped out of the Top 10 and were replaced by rivals, Belgium. Biggest Ivory Coast remained Africas top side, followed Algeria with both nations occupying the 24th and 25th positions. Egypt were one of the biggest movers in the new rankings as they stormed up 12 places into 26th. Champions Cape Verde Islands dropped six places into 33rd, but are still 4th best in Africa, with Ghana - in 35th and Tunisia, in 44th - ahead of the African Champions who are ranked 7th on the continent. Cameroon (50th), Guinea (53rd) and Mali (56th) make up the Top 10 African countries.
