Eight partner communities of Counterpart International Armenia completed City-to city partnership process and summarized it during a workshop. As a result of an effective work, new sister-city partnership opportunities and initiatives are in process and some others have been revived. Particularly, Alaverdi community signed a Partnership Agreement with Georgen city, Romania. Vardenik rural community has initiated a sister-city process with Venlo city, the Netherlands. Currently both communities are in a negotiation stage which will be followed by signing a memorandum. Sevan community is also in a negotiation stage with a potential sister-city Aviliana, Italy. Kapan has successfully revived its ties with sister-city Glendale and following the meeting of the Mayors of two communities the cooperation will definitely become stronger and more effective.
