Eight years ago, things got so bad, that I owed months of rent. Business was bad, I was barely making enough to buy food, let alone to make rent and car payments. I actually had to hide my car from the repo man...I still remember his name to this day, Blackie Swart. Little old guy who drove around with a huge bodyguard type in his car. So I parked the car in the visitors parking all the way in the back of the complex. When I saw him pull up, I would simply lock the doors and pretend we were not home. But can you imagine always having to keep one eye at the gate, ALWAYS? I lived in a complex called Tulip Gardens in Vorna Valley. The agents, Robbie Sham were just up the road, so they could drop in at any time. Eventually the landlord cut off my lights. But I just went around the back, broke the lock of the electricity box and switched it back on. Yeah...desperate times. When they saw what I had done, they took it to the next level. They came in during the day and changed the locks. First night, I slept over at my cousins place. But the next day, I went back to my place, broke the kitchen window in the back. I crawled through the window, into the house and I opened the sliding door. So the main door stayed locked, but I could walk in through the sliding door. My place stayed unlocked for almost a month. Yeah...Ive been through hell. All Im trying to tell you, and I really hope this sinks in; one of you might be going through hell right now. You might have your Blackie Swart or your Wanda from Robbie Sham Properties to deal with. But none of it is permanent. When I talk about the bad I have been through, I am not trying to start a pity party. And similarly, when I talk about all that is good in my life right now, I am definitely doing it to brag. I hope to inspire those who think they are in a bottomless pit. I want to inspire those on the verge of trying something new. I want to inspire those who are about to pursue their dreams. I want to say to everybody...its not over. It is not over until they lower you into the ground. Keep fighting. Keep innovating. Keep working hard and eventually your turn around will come. *cue music* Its not over! Its not finished Its not ending! Its the beginning When God is in it! All things are new ALL things are NEW!
