Eirigi Loch Garman press release Re : Eirigi to stand a candidate in both New Ross and Gorey districts in upcoming local election. Eirigi Loc Garman are, this coming Thursday 23rd Jan, set to launch the election campaigns of its two chosen local election candidates in the May 2014 local elections. Both candidates have been chosen over the course of the last number of weeks by local party activists throughout the county to stand in the upcoming election. As a political movement, Eirigi have grown considerably in Co Wexford over the course of the last 18 months. With sitting cllr, John Dwyer working hard in his traditional heartland of New Ross District and newcomer Dominic Gaughen, already established as a principled political activist in his adopted home of North Wexford, Eirigi are well positioned to harness the genuine anger of most people at the way they have been treated by successive governments. Speaking this week Dominic Gaughen stated, “I am delighted to have been chosen by Eirigi to stand in this upcoming election. The resentment felt by those who have had to shoulder the burden of economic loss due to the mismanagement of our economy will have their chance in May of this year to send a clear message to the establishment parties that they have had enough.” Cllr John Dwyer also spoke about how he was inundated with pleas for help from right across Co Wexford, “I am one of the most active politicians in Co Wexford. Each and every day for the last 15 years, I have sought to take on the political establishment and their approach to how our county is run. We see how a succession of politicians sitting on Wexford County Council have failed to stand up for ordinary people and we see how they take their instructions from party headquarters.” At a time when the establishment parties of FF,FG, Lab are content to impose additional charges and taxes on ordinary families, coupled with cutbacks in medical cards, social welfare and children’s allowances, those same ordinary people will have the opportunity to send a clear message to those parties.
