Ekiti Prison attack; Do we need to be worried? Its more than 24hours since the terror attack and invasion of federal prison situated along housing-afao road, ado ekiti, where inmates were reported to have escaped and later recaptured. The news that greeted the incident stood amusing, watered the fear that should have rented the air. So amusing reading conflicting episodes of interest groups on alter of falsehood. The account of suppose governments watchdog bolted the comedy. Good enough, Ekiti state prison Commandant quickly discredited the jaundiced claim of one of Governor Fayoses aide that the attack was perpetrated by opposition to free their targeted inmate, (Niyi adedipe aka apase) who was said to have reported himself at the police station instead of escaping through the bush. It is least expected we hear from the highest security chief in the state on the true cause and position of government, to either condemn the attack, certainly, and assure the people of safety. In the last 4years of previous administration, there was no constant report of thugs invasion, spurious attack or mayhem on any government establishment unlike now. When will Governor fayose break his silence? This time, not through his rumour mongers but through a reliable source. Our people need their governor more than ever, waking from the frivolous rape melted on the constitution. Atleast, an assurance, safety measures and not only security, considering the circumstances of the mysterious attack. This is not the time to play politics with human lives. If the assumed thugs can invade federal prison without intelligent alerts or briefings. It means we stand at hyper risk Mr Governor. Resume to full duty and put a drastic stop to fleming politics of pointing wrong fingers and trading blames. My opinion and a piece of advise!
