Employee attacked by tiger at Exotic Feline Rescue Center CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - Clay County Sherriff’s Department has confirmed that an employee of the Exotic Feline Rescue Center in Clay County was injured by a tiger on Friday. For cleaning purposes, the tiger was moved into a holding area. Officials report that the door to the holding area did not get shut all the way, allowing the tiger to attack when the worker entered the area. The tiger bit and latched onto her head. Other employees of the center were able to distract the tiger with meat to get the employee to safety. Officials state the worker was airlifted to Wishard Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis where she is listed as being in critical condition at this time. A name has not been released at this time.
