End of Day 2 - Nottingham #Day2Summary Empowering the Community The greatest threat to religion in any society is not persecution, but rather apathy born of irrelevance.” Dr Sherman Jackson (USA) - To empower the community, we first have to be honest & know our powerless states - Be authentic & prioritise the most pressing issues which demand attention in your community. - Community care groups must aim to work with similar minded institutes & care professionals (Muslim or Non-Muslim) to systematically operate on the illnesses facing them - There is a collective obligation upon us all to address the issues in communities in a wholesome manner. - When you choose to do any dawah, stay in your lane of competency & navigate the roads efficiently to avoid cutting other people off. - Diversity is a positive thing, if done correctly & your core competencies complement one another. - Do not try to do everything as this is not manageable & will affect the quality of the work. - We have to put an end to the sectarian issues which are completely divisive & crippling our growth. - In the grand scheme of things, most of the self righteous attitudes many muslims, has no bearing upon our actual connection with God. - It has pushed countless Muslim worldwide towards aetheism & doubting faith in God itself. This is where I concern must be. Photos Courtesy Ayman Muhammed *Please Like & Share*
