End-of-year ASFA trials at Hanover! Actually still in progress, - TopicsExpress

End-of-year ASFA trials at Hanover! Actually still in progress, but I declared my iggies done after a couple days. Its been such a busy year for us! Partly because I was set on a mission to help Sadie get some overdue performance titles :-). Here are the IG results from Sat. and Sun., which were soggy/muddy but with mild temps. My Sat. pic cuts off the results so I filled them in. There was a bit of a mishap, too--at the end of the final run Sat., Matt went after Ammo over bag possession. I it was a bloodless squabble but Matt being Matt, he doesnt seem to know how to end things once he starts them. So, he got his butt DQd by the judge. That means he now has to sit out for 30 days and try for reinstatement. I believe hell be able to claw his way out of that shameful category, and Ill keep checking the separate my hounds box in the future to avoid a repeat. Im not trying to minimize anything, but Im also not wanting to overreact. Ammo was going to get BOB anyway, I believe, based on his score. Sunday, it was Tituss turn to show his stuff, Ive seen him run many times, but that day he outdid himself....as they all can. Ammo was just a little bit off, too...I think he seemed afraid of slipping in the mud, and he ran slower than usual. But then at the end of the 2-3 runoff, he poured it on, somersaulting on the last two turns. He was such a mudball I took a pic. Maybe some year they will have a prize for the messiest dog coming off the field. To level the field between the long and short-coated dogs, and the big and small, it would be by area covered in mud, as a percent of total body surface, and not the sheer weight of the mud. Sadie was pretty up on Sat., winning a runoff to get into the points, but Sunday she ran so half-heartedly in the prelim I decided to pull her. She stayed pretty clean--nuf said! Cassie, meanwhile was 2/3 spunk and 1/3 whimsy all weekend, which never does much for her score, but she had tons of fun.
