EoI sought from firms interested to open industries in Bhairahawa SEZ Ministry of Industry has sought Expression of Interest (EoI) from interested domestic and foreign investors to establish their industries in the newly established Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Bhairahawa. The interested parties will have to submit their EoI by February 8 to SEZ Development Committee Office in Babarmahal, Kathmandu. According to EoI published on the ministry´s website on Friday, 17 types of industries, including food and agro-based industries, herbal industries, leather goods manufacturing industries and readymade garment industries, among others, can set up their plants in SEZ Bhairahawa. Firms with fixed capital of Rs 50 million can submit EoI at the ministry to establish and operate export-oriented industry in the SEZ,” the notice reads. Likewise, the interested investors are also required to provide information, demonstrating that they have technical capacity, financial capability and experience to set up the industry on the basis of Expression of Interest (EoI) document and Expression of Interest (EoI) Submission Guideline provided by SEZ Development Committee. Bhairahawa SEZ, which is spread over 25 bigha, has 69 plots. Interested investors will get 30-year lease. The lease contract, however, needs to be renewed every five years.
