Epistle of St. Paul to the Colossians Chapter 2 1. I want you to know how great a struggle I have for you and for those at Laodicea , and for those who have not seen my face , 2 . to comfort their hearts by linking together in love to all riches of the full assurance of understanding , to the knowledge of the mystery of God - Christ 3 . in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 4 . And this I say , lest anyone deceive you with persuasive words. 5 . For though I am not with you in body , I am with you in spirit , rejoicing and seeing your order and the firmness of your faith in Christ. 6 . So, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him , 7 . Rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith as you were taught , abounding therein with thanksgiving . 8 . Be careful not to any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ . 9. For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the body Godhead 10 . and you also have complete in Him who is the head of all principality and power. 11. In Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not made by hand , by the circumcision of Christ , by putting off the body of flesh . 12. Buried with him in baptism, in Him you were also raised up by faith in the power of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses . 14. He wiped away the writing on the provisions of the law which was against us, and remove him from the midst of us, and nailed it to the cross; 15 . and having spoiled principalities and powers , He openly on display , triumphing over them in it . 16. So let no one judge you in food or in drink , or in respect of a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath, 17. which are a shadow of the future, but fulfillment is Christ 1. 18. Let no one takes the prize , doing his will in humility and worship of angels , intruding into those things which he has not seen , vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind , 19. And not holding the Head, Christ , by which the whole body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the growth of God. 20. So, if you died with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why , as though living in the world, subject to ordinances such as: 21. Do not touch , do not grab , do not taste, 22. which all are to perish with use, according to human precepts and teachings ? 23. These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed worship, and humility, and neshtadene the body, but are of no value, and the indulgence of the flesh.
