Eskom outgoing Financial Director is blaming the contract workers for the delays in the construction of Medupi Power Station. this got me thinking. above all workers, there are supervisors (izinduna)... where were they ? over izinduna are technicians and site managers... where were they ? above the technicians are engineers and project managers... where were these well paid engineers and project managers when the "lazy unskilled workers" were busy delaying the project ? where was the Principal Agent ? who issues payment certificates ? how did the Finance Director pay month in and month out when the milestones were not being met ???
