Ester is doing very well. Off the ventilator and two meals (clear liquid) into her, she is awake and alert. No pain meds except an occasional tylenol. Tomorrow she will go on a soft diet and if she handles it well on to a regular meal. Blood sugar went up to 312 but that was taken just after a meal. She is on insulin, has a nitro patch and on some powerful blood pressure medicine to keep her pressure down. Sr has linked increased fluid in the body directly to high blood pressures so all efforts are geared toward controlling her blood pressure. Still concerns about her kidneys and liver. Only time and healing will tell. Right now she has improved 100% over this time yesterday. Someone is with her 24/7 to support her and aid her in any way we can. I, for one know how lonely and scary hospital stays are when you are alone. Its nice to have a friendly face around to give encouragement. Thanks again for all the prayers. I have always believed prayer has a power well beyond our ability to comprehend and your prayers have again affirmed my belief. The Hicks-Durusan-Dancil family are forever in your prayers!!
