Evangelistic Outreach Opportunity. This fall, our nation will have a tremendous opportunity to respond to the Gospel message through an outreach event called Harvest America. Pastor Greg Laurie, the senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship and a crusade evangelist for over 20 years, will be hosting a nation-wide Gospel crusade through internet technology. In order to make this happen, Harvest America is relying on venues throughout the country to host the event and receive a live stream of the evangelistic crusade. The event will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2013, at 4:00 PM (PST). The crusade will consist of live music by Jeremy Camp and MercyMe, a Gospel presentation by Pastor Greg, and an opportunity for people to respond to the message and make a commitment for Christ. Pastor Steve and First Baptist Church has graciously agreed to be a host site for this event, so we are asking you to join us in prayer for the crusade, and to consider how you can be involved in bringing the Gospel to our community. First of all, we would like you to consider the following: Would you pray for this event? Specifically, would you pray about what unsaved friends, family members, coworkers, or neighbors God would like you to invite to come with you to the event to hear the Gospel message? As we get closer to Harvest America, would you please invite these individuals to come with you on Sunday, September 29? And finally, would you please come to the crusade broadcast at our church bringing those you invited or at least be present and praying for those who may make a decision for Christ? In addition, we are looking for a team of people to join with us in planning, preparing, and serving at the event, so if you feel called to get involved in this ministry, please let us know! We do have a few logistical needs that we would like you to pray about: Media/Projection system. A larger screen for easier viewing during the event is needed. Bibles for new believers. Every person who makes a decision for Christ will get a brand-new New Testament for free. We are able to get these Bibles at cost for $2.50/piece. Promotional advertisements: It is important to let people in our community know about this event. We are considering various advertisement means, including a billboard, newspaper advertisements, personal invitation cards, posters, and more.
