Evangelos Papathanassiou. (age:71). Known in the music industry as Vangelis. His music career has spanned over 50 years. He has composed and performed more than 52 albums. Vangelis is one of the most important exponents of electronic, progressive, ambient, jazz, pop rock, and orchestral music. His score for the film Chariots of Fire won an Academy Award. He has composed scores for movies like: Antarctica, Blade Runner, 1492: Conquest of Paradise, and Alexander. His music was used in the PBS documentary Cosmos: A Personal Voyage by Carl Sagan. Video shows him playing the setup he built for his performance at the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations at Doha, Qatar, 11th to 13th December 2011. (Many cultures, one humanity)
