Even when you quote the bible, you can still get it wrong. You just cant take a verse and quote it, you have to be representative about what that verse means in the context of that chapter, that book, and even more broadly, the entire bible. This is how false teachings prevail. Make it a rule, a habit, a practice, to always know what comes before and after a specific verse and what the big picture is surrounding that verse before quoting it. For example, you may want to study John chapter 3 before you quote John 3:16.
