Even with the Stateline Street Fair at the Greyhound Park Post Falls has had an uneventful day in the neighborhoods. There was a business burglary reported this morning. Someone broke into a business and took $100. According to employees of the business there may be inside surveillance available for detectives to review. Say cheese! A resident of Post Falls reported someone breaking into his vehicle and taking two Buck Knives. Both of the knives were folding knives, one with a plain edge and the other with a serrated edge. In addition to the theft the vehicle owner also discovered the suspect may have poured sand into the gas tank. There are no suspects at this time. A female of Post Falls called several times today needing ideas of how to straighten her life out and get away from a male companion she feels is interfering with her chance to live a happy peaceful life. After a lengthy conversation with the Sergeant on duty she thanked him for listening saying that was really all she needed. Just to make sure the she doesn’t need any further assistance the Sergeant has asked the Crime Victims Services Unit to contact her this week. This afternoon we received a call of a two year old little girl missing from her house. Her parents had last seen her in the basement. Officers arrived on scene and shortly after the child was located in a neighbor’s house where she had gained entry using the doggie door. The child was reunited with the mother safe and sound. Stay tuned for more updates as the night grows older, so far we have had one traffic stop that resulted in a seizure of 8grams of marijuana and a concerned citizen call in an erratic driver that turned into a DUI arrest.
