Every Goan household hang Akashdiwo(Diwali lamp) during Diwali. Every Diwali we tend to buy expensive machine made Akashdiwo of thermacol, plastic or aluminum frames. Instead, why not buy a hand made Akashdiwo, crafted from bamboo stalk by local artisans of Goa. It takes human efforts and skills to create one. They come at reasonable rates too and the money that we buy for would go to a Goan household which produces it. It is a Goan traditional art and the essence of Diwali is to keep our tradition alive.
