Every day I see so many posts from people on Facebook about diets and weight loss and workout plans. While I totally support being healthy and active, there is a fine line between advocating for a healthy lifestyle and talking about dieting and trying to change your body. Please be careful of how much information you put out into the world. Young girls are hearing these things are are slowly being taught that they should watch what they eat and be aware of how they look in public - even if they are perfectly healthy. We blame the media for creating this body image problem we have, but really it starts with us. The next time you say, I cant eat that, I am watching what I eat, think about who is around you (I said that last week, so I am not perfect). Is there a little girl nearby who might have heard? Because regardless of how she looks, she was just made aware that she should try to remain thin. These words can cause a really negative impact on the people around you. How about this? Try to be active a few times per week, eat healthy foods that come from the ground and not from a factory, and love yourself for who you are. And if you eat a doughnut for breakfast and pizza for dinner one day, enjoy it! THIS is my new diet. I have cellulite on my thighs and a tummy that jiggles when I run. But I love my body because it happens to be what I look like when I am happy, content, and enjoying my life. Its my happy weight! I suggest you find your happy weight and embrace it. Its really a lot of fun. :)
