Every now and then, its so much fun to go back and revisit things your kids did in years gone by, and this was one of my favorite things ever. When Quest was in fourth grade, he had misbehaved one day. Well, Im sure he misbehaved more than one day, but this particular day, the teacher had obviously had enough. Or it might have been that there was a substitute, and the teacher had him write this after he misbehaved when there was a substitute. Cant remember. Anyway... Please know, Ive never condoned my kids having bad behavior in class, but his teacher never told me what he did to make her ask him to write a note of apology. I just happened to find this apology letter one day in his backpack, and I copied it down - plus kept it - because I want to have it always until the end of my time on earth. Ive shared this before - like four years ago, but I think its good to pull this one back out again ;) The following is the text from fourth grade Quest - his apology to his teacher: I am sorry I was being loud in class. I wont talk to my friends and wont be all happy any more. Ill shut up now and do nothing bad. When we work with partners, I will work by myself. I will be the person that you will forget because I wont do anything that is interesting. Ill be boring and no fun and wont waste any time telling about something thats important to me or that could be important to you till I finish my work. My happy and joyful attitude will be no more. It will be a boring attitude. This is going to be my final answer, and I will not change it. So for now on, no more fun Quest. From, Quest Maranto
