Every time I listen to something from this amazing sister in Christ, I am deeply encouraged and deeply challenged. Suffering is a terrible thing, but it is not without meaning, purpose and the goodness of God. In all of our lives, there are inevitably things we would rather have than just knowing Jesus. Oftentimes it is suffering which reveals our idolatry. I heard it said recently that the things that we fear most expose the things we love most, our idols. I found this to be true in my own life. I have seen a great fear in my life of suffering, grief, trial and tribulation. What this shows me, much to my shame is that I have come to love ease, comfort and stability more than I love Christ., for it is these very things God often uses to make us depend on Him more and to know him more intimately. Any time He leads us to more of Himself, it is ALWAYS GRACE. It may just be uncomfortable grace., but grace nonetheless. https://youtube/watch?v=Ua9BPbAdCJY
