Every time I watch a documentary on poverty, a program on children who are dying of incurable diseases, or a program on teens in gangs, I want to eradicate the problem. I want to heal the world. I become quite emotional and agitated with these ongoing problems in the world. I valiantly say to myself, “I must do something!” Then reality sets in. I quickly realize that the problem is far greater than my ability to eliminate it. The challenge becomes mentally overwhelming. I begin to see just how small I am in the grand scheme of things.
