Everyone who knows me well, realizes that writing is my passion. Its been my dream and something I absolutely NEED in my life. I have a rather BIG testimony coming out soon that I plan to be sharing with a pretty large audience. I absolutely knew I would...at some point...but was just waiting on Gods nudge as to do it at the right time. Well, I feel that the time is getting closer. As I had bounced a few ideas around with my mentor and got somewhat anxious, he reminded me that a true writer doesnt hold anything back and doesnt care what anyone else thinks. Since I became a writer for the Huffington Post, I opened myself up to the world to be both praised and ridiculed. Loved and hated. Understood and very misled. Touched and aggravated. Looked at as genuine and insincere. And since then, there truly has been no in between.... My skin has thickened. It has mentally toughened me up. And not all the time, but I almost always pray about it for quite some time before sharing a piece with the world (there are still drafts I have waiting to be submitted that Ive been contemplating on for several months. ) However, theres something about being open, brutally honest, and sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly having others relating to your exact feelings, scenarios and life in general. Im so blessed and fortunate for my old and new friends who have been along this journey with me and especially for the one person who gave the push to take a jump because he believed THAT much in me.
